From 3 to 6 October 2024, Tanzplattform is organising the TANZFORUM - Workshop & Performance Festival! After the success of the WORKSHOPFESTIVAL in 2022, Tanzplattform Leipzig is once again focussing on interdisciplinarity, participatory formats and the plurality of artistic and aesthetic approaches in this edition.
During 4 days, more than 25 hours of workshops, performances, talks and open-floor evenings with guest DJs will take place. Within this framework, 6 local, regional and international artists will offer a journey of discovery into their working methods: Through formats that are open to all, participants and visitors can experience them both by watching and participating.
The festival is supported by the Cultural Office of the City of Leipzig, the Leipzig Foundation and the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony and is organised in cooperation with numerous local and regional partners: the Residenz (Schauspiel Leipzig), which makes its premises available and provides technical support, you are warmly invited, which is involved in the conception and implementation of exchange formats between the audience and artists, TanzNetztDresden, which is involved in contacting and selecting regional artists, and Schaubühne Lindenfels, LOFFT-DAS THEATER and Heizhaus Leipzig, which support the project by, for example, participating in advertising the event.
