About the training
This week in Profitraining, we will dwell ourselves in the joy of creative expression, exploring how our unique individual colors shape and enrich the given exercises and dance phrases. Beginning with a gentle tuning-in, followed by a warm-up and body conditioning, the class will gradually build toward cultivating a heightened sensitivity to movement both in relation to ourselves and within group constellations. We will seek moments that simulate a performative situation, allowing us to practise this state of dancing not only on stage, but also within our training.
About Denis
Born and raised in Switzerland to Serbian-Slovenian parents, I discovered my enhanced interest for movement and dance in my twenties. In 2015, I completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) with Yogamea in Italy. From 2016 to 2019, I pursued a Diploma of Higher Education in Urban and Contemporary Dance at HF ZUB in Zurich. From 2020 to 2025, I have been an ensemble member of the children and youth theater Theater der Jungen Welt in Leipzig, working in collaboration with artists such as Dafi Altabeb, Hege Haagenrud, Felix Berner, Sara Angius, Alfredo Zinola, Micaela Kühn Jara, among others.
