Profitraining mit Gisela de Paz Solvas

The Spanish dancer studied dance at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim, in Germany. After her studies, she won the first prize in the category of "contemporary dance" in one of the most prestigious competitions in Spain, the Convocatoria Nacional de Danza Ciudad De Castellón, which allowed her to work in the Nederlands Dans Theatre II, in Holland. Later she collaborated with the Compagnie Peter Agardi in France and Spain. After, she worked at the Landestheater Detmold and at the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater in Germany. She has worked on works from Jirí Kylián, Hans van Manen, Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman, Jutta Ebnother, Ihsan Rustem as well as Andrea Miller, Douglas Lee and Natalia Horecna.

She has presented her own choreographies at Landestheter Detmold, at the Gala Girona en Moviment and at the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater. She has also danced in several Festivals like Fluid Festival in Berlin, Abril en Danza in Alicante, Madrid en Danza, Dance Days Chania, Festival de Benicàssim, Festival Figueres es MOU, SoloDuo Tanz Fest in Cologne and DiR in Cottbus. She recently won the third price with her choreography (in)Submises in the Festival Contact.energy 2022 Erfurt Theater. 

Now she is a freelance based in Leipzig, Germany. She is part of the dance company Jacob Gomez Meohadim and Javier Guerrero company in Barcelona, and in different projects from the alternative scene in Leipzig.

Apart from her career as a dancer, Gisela has a degree in Communication and a Master in Cultural Management from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. This year she started the Career of Social Work.
